Step right up and join us for the 13th annual VIRTUAL Dream Big Charity Gala Experience Presented by Johnson & Johnson. This year's family friendly circus themed experience is sure to entertain and kicks off promptly at 7:00pm via Facebook Live! Guests will enjoy live music provided by NWA's own Boom Kinetic and various Cirque acts both presented by Arvest Bank, exciting play along games, and an impactful program about the Children's Safety Center's mission to help local child abuse victims.

Additionally, the experience hosts a fabulous silent auction and you can bid on items with quickness and ease using your smartphone thanks to Truity Credit Union.

The Virtual Dream Big Charity Gala Experience is THE signature fundraiser for the Children's Safety Center of Washington County. The CSC helps coordinate child abuse investigations by providing child advocacy, forensic interviewing, forensic medical exams, mental health therapy and child abuse prevention trainings. All of these services are provided free of charge to child abuse victims and their families. In 2019, over 800 alleged child abuse victims received FREE services at the CSC. Since we opened in 1997, we have served over 11,000 children in Northwest Arkansas.

About Us

The CSC provides services and support for alleged child victims of sexual and physical abuse in Washington County. Today, the CSC is comprised of an executive director, program director, forensic interviewer, two child advocates, a bilingual child advocate, development director, mental health therapist and a sexual assault nurse examiner. This group of professionals help in the treatment of alleged child abuse victims by bringing together the services of law enforcement, child protection professionals, and health practitioners. The CSC team ensures all agencies work together so that the child’s needs are met in a discreet, comforting, and nonthreatening manner, making the process more efficient and less traumatizing for the child.

The CSC team has helped more than 11,000 children, in the last 23 years. In 2019 the Children's Safety Center provided advocacy to 804 children; 763 forensic interviews were conducted at the CSC; 126 forensic medical exams were provided at the CSC; and 189 children received on-site therapy totaling over 1,400 sessions. All of the services at the CSC are provided free of charge.

Do you recall when you were a child, not being able to wait to get home from school? Hopefully, you were able to play innocently with your family in the yard, sit down for dinner, and have your parents tuck you in wishing you goodnight. This is not the reality for most of the children who are brought to the Children’s Safety Center. These children do not want to leave school because they know they will not be safe at home, or in their yard, or when they are sleeping at night. Given the statistics, your child is much more likely to be molested than to be hit by a car when crossing the street.
